Alpaca Llama Show Association

The First and Foremost Lama Show Association

The ALSA Board of Directors has approved
bylaw revisions to be presented to the membership for its approval.

To be eligible to vote, your dues must be paid by the Day of Record
which is February 13, 2019, 12:00 PM (noon) CST.

Balloting on the bylaw change will take place in March 2019.

The purpose of the revisions will be to elect Directors in October of each year.

This will allow •The newly elected Directors to take office January 1st
rather than July 1st - half way through the show year.

• Newly elected officers will be able to attend Board meeting in November
and December as non-voting members to assure continuity
as they join the Board in January at the first of the show year.

• The new Board to create a budget with the previous year’s
yearend financials at the beginning of their term.

• Installation of Committee Chairs at the beginning of the show year.

• More ALSA members to vote for Directors or volunteer
to run for the Board because the Day of Record will be in September instead of April.

To vote on these bylaw changes you must be a member in good standing
by the Day of Record which is
12:00 PM (noon) February 13, 2019 - Central Standard Time.

Pay your dues early and plan to vote.

It is time to renew your 2019 ALSA membership

The purpose of ALSA is to promote Llamas and Alpacas by enhancing the visibility
and demonstrating the versatility of Lamas at shows.

In so doing ALSA establishes guidelines for the shows, educates the judges
and records the achievements of the individual Llamas.

The result is a better educated Lama community as to
the soundness and conformations of these unique animals.

Here are some reasons to so this now:
1. When planning to attend a show in 2019, you will have already done this!
(one less thing to remember)
2. You have the right to vote in 2019 for the election
3. You may run for office
4. You may work toward becoming an ALSA Judge
5. You may participate in the ALSA award system
6. You will receive a Handbook in the mail
7. You will receive a copy of the BOD minutes to your email 24 hours
before they are posted on the website
8. You will receive a copy of the Showring Magazine to your email
9. You will receive a membership card
and the number 10 reason to join ALSA -
